Arkansas Engineering & Technology Education

This site is designed to provide Arkansas technology and engineering educators with an online database of valuable internet links and documents that will be of use to them in their classrooms.  This page contains information about the Arkansas Engineering and Technology Education (ETE) program as well as links to the ETE curriculum guide and the frameworks for each ETE class.  Additionally, this page contains links to websites and documents which pertain to each of the primary subjects covered in the ETE curriculum: manufacturing, construction, information and communication, energy and power, and transportation.

The Arkansas Engineering and Technology Education (ETE) program is designed for all students to develop technological literacy and stimulate interest in pursuing a career in a technological field. Focusing on the practices, skills, and knowledge necessary for employment in the numerous industries associated with engineering and technology, this course may be sequenced with a variety of career and technical courses to form a specialization to prepare students for careers and support additional education and training in engineering and technology.

Specifically, the ETE program will

  • Provide classroom and laboratory learning experiences that will help students develop technological literacy.
  • Provide an introduction to the practices, skills, and knowledge necessary for employment in engineering and technology careers.
