TEED 1203 Syllabus – May Intersession 2015

This introductory course in technology and engineering education focuses on the development and introduction of lettering, sketching, applied geometry, pictorial drawing, orthographic projection, and computer-aided drafting and design (CADD/CAD).

There is no textbook required for this course. However, students are required to have access to the following software:

  • Autodesk Inventor 2015
  • Autodesk Revit 2015

  • Homework – complete 12 X 18 Wall Section Sketch with perfect lettering

  • Orthographic Projection Packet
  • Dimensioning Packet
  • Playground Parts (Except Spiral and Tunnel Slide)

  • Using CorelDRAW to produce 2D drawings to cut and engrave on the laser
  • Cube Box Project

Thursday, May 21

TEED 1203 REVIT Project (30 points)

Students will design a 3 Bedroom home including:

  • Original plan, not a modification of the SMALL HOUSE Project
  • Appropriate windows and doors
  • Carport or garage area
  • All kitchen, bathroom, and closet detailing
  • Laundry area and hot water heater
  • Appropriate dimensioning

The following items will be submitted to Dropbox:

  • All REVIT project files
  • PDF plots/prints using appropriate and consistent sheet sizes
  • Floorplan (1/4”=1’ scale)
  • Elevations
  • 3D rending including site details
